This is my second Tough camera. My first was the 1030SW and it was a phenomenal camera! I was sad it got water logged after several years of use. I'm pretty sure it was my doing too, not a malfunction in the camera. I replaced that camera with the Panasonic Lumix TS10 and really do not like that camera. However, what I don't like is pretty glaring. First, the likes. Picture quality is a lot better than previous models of this camera. Great waterproof and "drop-proof" capability. Cool options and features. Now, the bad. The buttons make it VERY difficult to view pics and change modes on the first try. It's inconceivable that Olympus can make such advancements in this camera and let it go to market with this glaring weakness. It kind of reminds me of one of those old appliances that has buttons that barely work but you're hesitant to spend the money to replace it! Well, you get this from the get-go with this camera. It's too bad. Also, the battery life is way too short for a camera like this. |
